While I was at Podcamp Pittsburgh 4, I got a chance to attend a session hosted by Michelle from Burgh Baby. The video is below. Enjoy!
Here is some video from the PodCamp Pittsburgh 4 Session(s) I attended.
The first video is from the case study “Shutting Down Your Blog.” This session was about the process of shutting down “The Burgh Blog.” Enjoy!
So, what have I been up to while I haven’t been posting here?
First, I have become the lead blogger at AppVee. I post on their blog about news about the iPhone and the iPod Touch. You can check out my posts at here. I you come across any interesting iPhone articles you can send it to me at Joe@appvee.com.
Next, I co-founded an Internet Production Company called JJMProductionss. I founded JJMProductionss with CubeTalk. Currently, we only have one show in production which is called “The Weekly Review.” “The Weekly Review” is a show about what happened during the week. You can find “The Weekly Review” here. If you like the show, please rate and subscribe on iTunes. Also, if you want to contact any of us from JJMProductionss visit our contact page on the website. You can view the most recent episode as of the date this post was published below:
Finally, I have decided that I am going to write a book and that I am going to get it published. The only problem is that I don’t known anything else about the book yet. I don’t know whether it is going to be fiction or non-fiction. And if I don’t know that, then you know that I don’t know anything about it after that. If you have any ideas for my book, please send the ideas here.
Remember, check out the blog on AppVee, check out the webshow, and send me ideas for my book.
I Hate Facebook
Mar 24
Today, I tried to login to Facebook. Instead of letting me into my account, however, this is what I was presented with:

I was presented with this lovely red box.
As soon as I saw this box, I tried to log in again, as it happens, it was not just a one time fluke. Facebook seriously thinks that I am not who I am not who I say I am (you can’t see this in the picture, but that is what they told me). When I figured this out, I sent out this tweet (little vulgar, but I was really ticked). Next, I sent the following to Facebook on their contact page (which was hard to find, I might add):
Hello,
I tried to log into Facebook today and got presented with a lovely red box that told me that my account had been disabled because I am not who I say I am. Pardon me for asking, but why is Joe not Joe? I am the one who signed up for the Facebook account. I have records. I would really like for my account to be enabled again so that I may continue to use your service. I signed up for Facebook as a way to communicate with my friends and family, not to get locked out of my account.
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely yours,
Joe
I am still waiting for a reply on this letter to Facebook. I will update this post when the reply comes.
UPDATE: Well I didn’t get any reply from Facebook, but I think that I sounded pissed enough. My accout on Facebook will now let me in again. YAY!
I know I would, and that is exactly why I downloaded the completely free and legal torrents of all the music at SXSW or South By South West. If you want to download these songs to, go here. Don’t be turned away by the word torrent by thinking that it means that it is not legal. It is completely legal and legit. Also, let it be known that these are all mostly Indie Rock songs. Hope you like them!
After about thirty minutes of pondering, I have decided to switch the comment system to IntenseDebate. Even though Disqus and IntenseDebate both pretty much do the same thing, I feel that IntenseDebate gives me more bang for my buck (even though it is free). All of the current comments on the blog have been imported into IntenseDebate already and any further comments on any post will be done through IntenseDebate. Sorry for all of you Disqus users out there, but I just like IntenseDebate more. Also, since WordPress and IntenseDebate are both products that are made by Automattic, there is less of a chance that something could go wrong.
